1. FOREWORD

 


A Muslim who is wrongly accused of committing a sin by a fellow Muslim will naturally and understandably defend his honour. The Islamic way of dealing with a false accusation is to provide evidence especially documentary and where available, witness support to show that the accusation made is baseless and without foundation, and thereafter try and persuade the accuser to withdraw and retract his false accusation. Even in this difficult situation Islam does not permit insults and abuse to be directed at the accuser but strongly recommends that the falsely accused displays good character and remains patient and steadfast on the teachings of his religion and maintains his trust in Allah Almighty.


 

Equally it is entirely within Islamic law and practice that where a genuine error or mistake is pointed out by a Muslim and is supported by evidence and proof which is concrete and conclusive, a fellow Muslim should accept that evidence and repent for his mistake and change his ways. It is not Islamic  for a person to abuse and insult his fellow Muslim for bringing to his attention his mistake and thereafter try and change reality by fabricating evidence or by telling lies and generally behaving in a way which is not only un-Islamic but leads him to commit serious transgressions and sins and which leave him bordering on infidelity.


 

Unfortunately this is the method adopted by Mufti Shamsuddoha of 14 Park Avenue, Blackburn and his sons Zafar Iqbal, Molvi Abul Hasan, Zia Ashraf and Rehmani when they were provided with indisputable evidence which showed that they were not descendants of the Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam and therefore not a sayyad family, but were in fact the descendants of Hadrat Umar Faruq Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu. For reasons unknown Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons believed that being the descendants of Hadrat Umar Faruq Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu was not worthy and set about deviously creating a new and fraudulent family tree to try and show that they were sayyads. This was partnered with a vicious and vindictive campaign against those who brought this information to their attention who are not only genuine sayyads but are Scholars of the highest repute and have spent their entire lives in the service of Islam. These sayyads were responsible for bringing Mufti Shamsuddoha as an Imam to a Mosque in England twenty years ago believing him to be a sayyad and steadfastly stood by him when he was removed from that Mosque because the reason for removal was not a reason in Sharia.


 

As a complete coincidence and at the same time Mufti Shamsuddoha's lineage came to light, his brother in law Sayyad Jilani Ashraf was declared an infidel by Muftis and scholars of Islam due to his involvement in an organisation in India called Foundation for Unity of Religions and Enlightened Citizenship (FUREC) which had among its aims and objectives the unity, respect and acceptance of all religions. Jilani Miya refused to accept the ruling of the scholars of Islam most notably his uncle Rai's ul Muhaqqiqin Shaykh Ul Islam Hadrat Allama Mowlana Mufti Shah Sayyad Muhammad Madani Ashrafi Jilani of Kichhocha Sharif (India) and actively became engaged in mind boggling deception as well as insults and abuse of those who had laid the charge of infidelity against him.


 

Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons, two of whom are married to Jilani Miya's daughters made the disastrous decision to support Jilani Miya in his quest to hide and deny his infidelity in return for Jilani Miya supporting them in their determination to show that they were of sayyad descent. This relationship was of mutual benefit but utterly remarkable given that previously there had been a great deal of personal enmity and hatred between Molvi Abul Hasan and Jilani Miya. Nevertheless this marriage of convenience ensured that each side blindly supported the other in its predicament including lending support to lies, deception, insults, abuse and shameless dishonesty.


 

The methods adopted by both Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons and Jilani Miya were almost identical in trying to convince people that they were telling the truth. These consisted of outrageous lies to hide from the public the actual reality of events; especially when provided with firm evidence, which was thereafter followed by abuse and insults towards anyone who held an opposite view to them; whether that person was related to them, was a sayyad, a scholar or an ordinary Muslim.


 

While Jilani Miya's fraud, lies and deceit have been dealt with in detail elsewhere, much of which can be found on this link we decided to set out in detail the activities and charges against Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons. We have provided supporting documentation for each of our assertions to try and provide the reader with conclusive proof that what we have written is not gossip, rumour or baseless assertions but is based on the actual activities of Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons and therefore the truth.


 

Based on the conduct of Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons as set out in this book, we sent a questionnaire to one edict (fatwa) providing body in Pakistan. The reason the questions were sent to Pakistan was to ensure that the answers were given in an objective manner based on the ruling of Sharia without the identities of the people involved being revealed or being determined. The Islamic Institution we sought an edict from is highly thought of and well recognised in Pakistan and has as its Head and Chief Mufti, Shaykh ul Hadith Hadrat Allama Mowlana Mufti Ashraf ul Qadri. The identities of Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons were kept hidden when the questions were asked and only their behaviour was explained and described.


 

As the reader will note, the answers provided are extremely severe and the ruling of Sharia shows beyond any doubt what grave sinners Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons have become. Some of their activities are bordering on infidelity and if they have any fear of Allah Almighty and the life hereafter they will repent as a matter of urgency.


 

We have published this book to make people aware of the activities of Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons and to show in the light of Sharia that there are consequences in the court of Allah Almighty for engaging in deception and misleading Muslims and insulting the pious people of Islam. We do not seek to humiliate Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons but seek to try and persuade them to change their ways and until they repent and behave in a proper manner we want to ensure that Muslims are fully aware of their activities and stay away from them.

The Fraud & Clarification of the Truth



Below are some of the objectionable contents of the Surat Spiritual Declaration (SSD) and FUREC, both of which have been endorsed by Jilani Miya with his signature and have also been translated albeit incorrectly into Urdu and distributed under the aegis of his Spiritual Foundation.org organisation:-


     Surat Spiritual Declaration

 

''Religion a beautiful partner in the Nations prosperity ...

Religions are like exquisite gardens, places full of surpassing beauty and tranquility, like sacred groves filled with beautiful birds and their melodious songs. Religions are beautiful gardens, but they are islands there is also need for continual education of adult population and senior citizens on values of lives and about the basic spiritual unity of all religions. Education and intellectual activities are vital. In addition these values have to be reinforced in every citizen through specific projects, which can bring people together, irrespective of their social levels or religious beliefs.



Project 1: Celebration of Inter-Religious festivals

Every month in all parts of India there can be a multi-religious gathering to convey the core message attempted in the prayer of peace and about the basic truths contained in various religions. Such a prayer should be preceded by prayers from all religions practiced in that part of the country by respective religious and spiritual leaders in the presence of the people. Each month the day selected could be a holy day from one religion: Islam, Hindu, Christianity, Sikh, Parsi, Jain, Buddhist etc. Regular conduct of such meetings by all religious leaders and people from different religions respecting holy days of other religions will send a powerful message.




Project 2: Multi-religious projects

These efforts will elevate religions in the minds of the people and the nation will benefit.




Project 3: Education in and with the ambience of Unity of Religions

            All religious educational institutions operating in different parts of the country
            should enrol children from other religions in certain proportions and imbibe
            values such as religious tolerance, righteousness. The real purpose and the
            unity of religions should be embedded in the minds of the students.

FUREC

  1.  4. Aim:

To promote and implement the Surat Spiritual Declaration (attached as appendix) by sustaining the human spirit on the basis of acceptance of, and respect for, all religions

 

  1. 5. Objectives:

 

(a)     To promote the aim in India,

 

(d)    To organize multi religious functions, to popularize joint celebration of religious festivals, common community kitchens and multi religious prayers,

 

(e)     To provide for inter faith dialogue and a common platform for multiple religions to work together towards religious harmony and socio-economic development and disseminate the commones of the spiritual and mysticl experiential aspects of religions,

 

(f)      To promote universal values of all religions,

                                                  

(l)     To arrange for the writings, editing, translating and publishing books, encyclopaedias, periodicals, rare manuscripts, monographs and generate audio, visual materials and other technological forms dissemination on Unity of Religions

 

  n)     To create educational material for teaching and understanding of religions and practice of spiritual values in all educational material,

 

(z)   To preserve rare manuscripts, letters, pictures, stone images, artists works and archeological and historical exhibits and establish archives/museums.

 

As can be seen from the above, there are numerous statements that both contain infidelity and are prohibited (haram). But Jilani Miya continued to remain an active member and refused to repent and stated that he was involved in FUREC to help solve the nations said problems, not engage in unit of religions. For those who believe Jilani Miya's explanation and dont accept that his involvement in FUREC was from a religious viewpoint, we are setting out an extract from Jilani Miya's Spirtiual Times magazine to show the actual reality.

 

In the Spiritual Times, Jan-March 2004 edition on Page 17, a poem written by Y S Rajan who is currently a member of the executive body of FUREC appears titled The Universal Unity which is set out below:

''Om....Allah,'' .... Why would a religious magazine publish such blatant polytheism and infidelity containing statements? Isnt this the support of the concept of unity of religions? Is this dealing with social issues or dealing with religious unity?

 

In Spiritual Times, Jan-March 2005 edition an article by Jilani Miya appears with the title 'The right approach to unity and integrity of all religions.' Is Jilani Miya going to say that this too was dealing with social issues and nothing to do with unity of religions?

 

Even after he allegedly resigned from this organisation, he refused to repent as required by Sharia.

 

However, as a result of the pressure that was brought on Mufti Shamsuddoha to clarify his position, he and his son Molvi Abul Hasan signed a document in which they condemned FUREC as well as anyone who abused Hadrat Shaykh ul Islam. This can only be described as a mental block and utter absent mindness by father and son. They were supporting Jilani Miya but in their desperation at having been found out as people who werent sayyads and to preserve any remnants of prestige, financial and moral support, they put pen to paper and endorsed a document which unreservedly condemned FUREC, Jilani Miya and anyone who insulted Hadrat Shaykh ul Islam.

 

But even after signing this document they continued to support Jilani Miya, hurl abuse at Hadrat Shaykh ul Islam and in the process showed themselves to be absolute hypocrites who could not be trusted with anything important. This one action of the foolish father and son led to their exposure especially in religious circles as people who had no idea of what they were doing and were thought of as religious ignoramuses who had no idea what Sharia demands of people.

 

The letter that was signed with the additions made by Mufi Shamsuddoha and Molvi Abul Hasan is set out below. It should be remembered that this letter was prepeared after Jilani Miya instead of dealing with the allegations against him launched in writing a tirade of abuse against Shaykh ul Islam and made insulting insinuations against Shaykh e Azam Hazrat Allama Sayyad Muhammad Izhar Ashraf. This letter stated:

 

'From the Scholars and Shaykhs of the Ashrafi family

 

To Sayyad Muhammad Jilani

 

In response to your letter dated 21-02-06 from Lucknow

 

'We condemn the direct insults and abuse hurled by you at Shaykh ul Islam Sayyad Muhammad Madani Ashrafi Jilani, successor to Hazrat Mohaddis e Azam (blessings be upon Him) and the indirect insults, abuse and insinuations aimed at Shaykh e Azam Hazrat Allama Sayyad Muhammad Izhar Ashraf, successor at the Senior Hasaniya Household and other scholars of the family as well as the baseless accusations you have made, the impudence you have shown, your attempt at smearing their characters, your delirious ranting and raving, your madness, insanity and fury is condemned by all of us. Your dishonourable behaviour is an attempt to divert people from the un-Islamic aims and objectives of FUREC.

 

The unity of false religions, respect of false religions, acceptance of false religions, participating and assisting in polytheists 'religious practices, propagating the knowledge of false religions, respecting the values of false religions, believing false religions to be beautiful gardens,  assembly singing, believing false religions polytheists days as sacred, respecting false religions sacred days, respecting false religions, trying to imbue the views and thoughts of false religions into the minds of Muslim students, nurturing false religious practices, keeping in tact the diverse practices and habits, views and beliefs of false religions and through combining various skills and knowledge trying to form 'unity of minds, etc etc are all in your and your sadhus' Organisations' aims and objectives.

 

In order to avoid the aims and objectives of FUREC being seen by the scholars and Muftis of Islam, you are trying in a dirty and unclean manner to personalise what is a religious and Sharia matter to the extent that in your questions to Muftis you have not sought the views on the Sharias ruling on the aims and objectives of FUREC but you have lied to the Muftis and said that under Article 30 of the Memorandum of Association there has been an amendment to the aims and objectives. God is witness that under Article 30 there has been no such amendment. The claim of the amendment on 27 October is a blatant lie.

 

And you are such a big and confirmed liar that to deceive people you state unity, respect and acceptance of religions to be against Sharia, Islam, faith and belief in your questions to Muftis and yet in the original memorandum of FUREC you have endorsed and signed up to the unity, respect and acceptance of religions.

 

Exactly like Murtaza Hasan Darbinghi who stated that the comparison of the knowledge of the unseen with animals and lunatics was infidelity yet endorsed the book Hifzul Iman which contained this comparison.

 

You too have adopted this inferior and unsavoury method. You state that the unity of religions with Islam is false but in FUREC you have endorsed this.

 

The subject matter is FUREC which is about the Foundation for the Unity of Religions. There is no dispute with Spiritualfoundation.org, Kashful Qulub or any worldly, family or personal dispute.

 

The dispute is with the un-Islamic rules, aims and objectives of FUREC.

 

If you have even an iota of care, thought or consideration for Sharia then put before the Muftis FUREC's and objectives and then seek the view of Sharia. The original rules are in English and that is what was agreed and what is important. You should not translate this. The Muftis will have the correct and accurate translation done themselves. The day you do this is the day your fraud, deception, trickery and dishonesty will be blatantly and totally exposed.

 

Your deception and attempt to personalise a religious topic is deceitfulness and slyness and an attempt to hide the un-Islamic objectives of FUREC and we condemn in the strongest possible terms your insulting and dishonourable use of language towards the esteemed personalities of the pure and clean Sharia.

 

And Allah willing that day is not far when every Sunni edict providing body will give an edict against the false beliefs of FUREC. Wait for the day when you will be disgraced and humiliated.

 

The state of affairs described in your questions is one thing; the actual and truthful state of affairs is something else. And soon all the Muftis will Allah willing become aware of the actual and truthful situation.

 

There is still time. Repent in Sharia from the organisation of the Sadhus and re-enter completely into the fold of Islam. If not, remember that the trappings of power and wealth in yesteryear did not bring success to Nimrod, nor today will lead to success for someone rejected by God and without hope of salvation.

On the one hand Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons are supporting Jilani Miya, inviting him to their homes, assisting in the recording of a video CD and insulting everyone including Shaykh ul Islam who believes Jilani Miya is an infidel, yet on the other hand Mufti Shamsuddoha and one of his sons are happy to sign a document condemning Jilani Miya abuse, insults and the stated beliefs contained in his beloved FUREC.

 

Mufti Shamsuddoha and his son Molvi Abul Hasan were quite happy to sign a document which called Jilani Miya a big and confirmed liar and compared him to Murtaza Hasan Darbinghi, yet were quite content to meet with Jilani Miya, accommodate him as their guest and continue to fight in his corner.

 

We wonder what kind of Mufti and Molvi this father and son are that they engage in such hypocritical, odd and inconsistent behaviour? And we are left to wonder what deals, financial or otherwise they have entered into especially in India for them to support Jilani Miya?

 

The obvious question that needs to be raised is why Mufti Shamsuddoha was prepared to sign the above mentioned letter, add his own comments to it and then continue with his support of Jilani Miya? Why is it that he condemns FUREC if he feels there is nothing wrong with it? Why is he happy to lend his name to a document that states that Jilani Miya has gone out of the fold of Islam and advises him to 'Repent in Sharia from the organisation of the Sadhus and re-enter completely into the fold of Islam.  This type of behaviour is engaged in when a person feels helpless and is unable to think in a normal and rational manner. Whatever explanation they must have given to Jilani Miya must be worth listening to because Jilani Miya still remained with them and gave Mufti Shamsuddoha a place to stay in Lucknow on his subsequent visits when others previously friendly had shown him the door.

 

Jilani Miya realised that Mufti Shamsuddoha was under immense pressure at having been exposed as a fraudulent sayyad and to enlist Mufti Shamsuddoha and his family's support he started to try and intertwine Mufti Shamsuddoha's issue with the issue of his infidelity and started to claim that Mufti Shamsuddoha was in fact a sayyad. Naturally to people whose status had crumbled and whose lives had been utterly shattered, this support was a much needed lifeline. In return Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons had to do Jilani Miyas bidding which they have been doing ever since with a great deal of energy and enthusiasm. How long this marriage of convenience lasts is debatable because for several years before Jilani Miya was declared an infidel and Mufti Shamsuddoha's family was found to be of Faruqi descent, Jilani Miya and Molvi Abul Hasan despised each other with passion! Molvi Abul Hasan was renowned for making sarcastic comments about Jilani Miya's Spiritual Foundation and Jamia Sufiya and had nothing but contempt for his uncle. Yet as soon as his uncle is declared an infidel Molvi Abul Hasan becomes his obedient nephew  how odd that a so called scholar hates his uncle when he is a Muslim, yet becomes a friend when he becomes an infidel!

 

This marriage of convenience meant that Jilani Miya found some people to support him and Mufti Shamsuddoha continued to have a place to stay in Lucknow when he went to India despite losing the respect he had strived for. He had been exposed as a hypocrite for preaching about the Sharia for 20 years in England yet when he had to face a test he put his own status and blood relations ahead of Sharia.

 

We will set out only one example of what Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons have been supporting to show how much Jilani Miya has been trying to mislead the public and the level Mufti Shamsuddoha has had to come down to so that he had someone to support him in his false claims of being a sayyad.

 

Jilani Miya in the Declaration of Truth (Urdu) published by the Spiritual Foundation, Lucknow in the month of Safar 1427 being March 2006 of which 5000 copies were printed writes on page 7:

 

'I was made a member of the Apex Body of this organisation whereas all my attention and my entire schedule were spent on the construction and organisation of Jamiya Sufiya in Kichocha Sharif and Spiritual Camps. (Page 7 Declaration of Truth)

 

On page 8 Jilani Miya writes

 

'I have such a busy schedule that up until now I have been unable to attend any function or programme of FUREC and neither have I been able to carry out any work of the UP chapter of FUREC.' (Page 8 Declaration of Truth).

 

It should be borne in mind that Jilani Miya wrote the above in the Declaration of Truth in March 2006.

 

In addition Jilani Miya has stated in a video CD that he recorded in Blackburn with the help of Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons on 30 May 2006 when discussing the alleged amendment to FUREC's constitution that:

 

                'near to me FUREC has no importance.'

 

On 30 August 2006 Jilani Miya placed an advert in the daily Rashtriya Sahara newspaper and made an important declaration in which he stated that he was resigning from FUREC not because it contained infidelity but to avoid further mischief from being caused. Even in this advert where Jilani Miya talks about the benefits of repenting for his sins he states that:

 

Respected readers, it should be clear that Faqir Ashrafi [Jilani Miya] due to his extremely busy schedule remained separate from FUREC and did not attend any of its meetings or programmes.'

 

From the above printed and recorded words of Jilani Miya we can establish three claims:

 

1.                   Jilani Miya had not attended any of FUREC's functions or programmes.

2.                   All his attention and time has been spent on constructing Jamia Sufiya and
     organising Spiritual Camps.

3.                   Jilani Miya didnt give any importance to FUREC and therefore presumably
     would not give any financial contribution to it.

 

This is what Jilani Miya would like us to believe. This is what he has both printed in the Declaration of Truth and recorded on a video CD both of which have been distributed by him to Sunni Muslims around the world including our Scholars and Imams.

 

However these claims are blatant and shameful lies. The truth and reality are entirely the opposite of what Jilani Miya has written and recorded.



1.             The January 2005 monthly bulletin of FUREC (which can be found at http://www.furec.org/monb0501.pdf) named 'U-Can Change the World' records the following on page 3:

 

'I am delighted to learn that under the leadership of one of the Founder Apex Council member of FUREC, H.H.S.M. Jilani Ashraf, the U.P. Chapter of FUREC is being launched on 24 November 2004 at Lucknow. The event is also marked by a Seminar jointly organized by FUREC and Spiritual Foundation founded by H.H.S.M. Jilani Ashraf.

True to the spirit of universality the seminar also includes a few international participants. I learn that the U.P. Chapter of FUREC in close collaboration with the Spiritual Foundation will work on spiritual matters as well as education and health care for poor.

I wish the Seminar, the U.P. Chapter of FUREC and Spiritual Foundation many successes in their endeavours.

As you will note a function to launch the UP Chapter of FUREC was organised and scheduled to take place on 24 November 2004. Therefore, was Jilani Miya telling the truth when he wrote his 'Declaration of Truth' in March 2006 or did this function actually take place and as a result prove that he has unashamedly lied to the Sunni Muslim community? Read the words yourself as described in the January 2005 edition of FUREC's monthly magazine:

 

'On the 24th of November 2004, a function was held in Lucknow to launch the Uttar Pradesh chapter of FUREC at the initiative of Hadrat Syed Muhammad Jilani Ashraf sahib. Speaking at the function were religious people from different faiths Father Albert Douza, Bishop Lucknow, Swami Mukti Nathanand of R. K. Mission and Mahant Ram Chander Das were some of them. The function was a gentle expression of the desire for unity amongst all those present. If one of the spiritual leaders said that the greatest dharma is humaneness, another said that Lucknow has always lived amicably with people from all folds, perhaps because of its strong Sufi influence. The Mayor of Lucknow, Mr. S. C. Rai gave a very erudite speech calling for unity in Lucknow which he said, (in the form of an Urdu couplet), is not just a city of tombs and minarets, or gardens and grounds, but is a city where cupid plays in gay abandon and in its lanes are angels and fairies. No wonder then that the Hadrat sahib calling for action said, (again in a couplet) that the world was listening very carefully, we ourselves, (those speaking) slept, telling the story.'(Page 4 U-Can Change the World, January 2005)

 

Jilani Miya also gave a speech at this meeting which is recorded in English where he states inter alia the following:

 

'Friends: Today Faquir Ashrafi is not on the dais to deliver lecture but will be glad to listen to the learned speakers. Briefing my address I would say that this seminar which is an attempt to bring different religious leaders at one platform to deliberate on the unity of all religions and enlightened citizenship can be termed as a step forward towards implementation of decisions taken during the presence of His Excellency, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in Surat in October last year. HH Acharya Mahaprajna has been a guiding force and helping us in all spheres of our activities. Mr. Y.S Rajans advice from time to time has been a great asset for us.

Surat Spiritual Declaration was the outcome of a conclave of all religious leaders held at Surat in October 2003. The leaders had the privilege to have had an inter action with His Excellency President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam also. A review meeting of the decisions taken during the conclave was held in New Delhi in June, 2004 and that gave birth to the Foundation of Unity of Religions and Enlightened Citizenship (FUREC). It was formally announced at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Today, the 24th November, 2004, is the inaugural day of UP Chapter of FUREC which has been entrusted to Spiritual Foundation and the Foundation feels pleasure to have an august audience on the day of its inauguration.' (Page 6 U-Can Change the World, January 2005).

 

It is abundantly clear from the above quoted paragraphs from FUREC's own magazine which also contains photographic evidence that Jilani Miya did not only attend a programme of FUREC but actually organised it and has therefore without any doubt lied in the Declaration of Truth when he said that 'I have such a busy schedule that up until now I have been unable to attend any function or programme of FUREC and neither have I been able to carry out any work of the UP chapter of FUREC.'  Jilani Miya actually arranged for the launch of the UP Chapter of FUREC for which he was thanked in advance by the President of India contrary to what he has written and distributed to the Sunni Muslim community.

 

He has also allowed religious leaders of other faiths a platform to espouse their views on unity of religions and has expressed his gladness at the chance to listen to such 'learned speakers' and as a result clearly endorsed the aims and objectives of FUREC and the SSD.

 

2.             Jilani Miya also arranged another programme of FUREC between 22 and 26 May 2005. The Spiritual Foundation in association with FUREC organised a medical camp at Lucknow for a five day period under the FUREC banner for which photographic evidence is available (see Jilani miyas Latest Lie).

 

Why is Jilani Miya writing he has never attended any function or programme of FUREC when he not only attended and participated but actually arranged these functions???

 

3.             On 2 August 2005 a 'morning dedicated to Surat Spiritual Declaration' was held to award H H Acharya Mahaprajna the 'National Award for Communal Harmony.' Two other awards were also presented on the same date. 'One was to the Akhil Bharatiya Rachnatmak Samaj led by Dr Nirmala Deshpandey and the other was to Sh Rama Shanker Singh who received the Kabir Puraskar for taking his life to bringing communal harmony.  Page 3 U-Can Change the World, September 2005 which can be found at http://www.furec.org/monb0509.pdf)

 

At this meeting many people were present including the Prime Minister of India as well as LK Advani, a leader of the BJP. In FUREC's September 2005 monthly magazine on page 7 under the heading Gratitude the following is recorded:

 

'Empowering FUREC with the power to function, act (kriya) are the following people to whom we convey our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation for their generous donation'

 

And thereafter the following individuals and organisations are listed as donors:

 

Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Spiritual Foundation.org, Swami Jitamanandaji, Dr J S Neki, Mr M L Sethia, Dhram Chand Bhaid Kalyas Nyas and Shri Prasad Chandran. (Page 7 U-Can Change the World, September 2005).

 

Jilani Miya also had translated the SSD and constitution of FUREC into Urdu under the aegis of his Spiritual Foundation and also published extracts in his Spiritual Times magazine.

 

Therefore when Jilani Miya said that 'near to me FUREC has no importance' he was again lying. It has enough importance for him to contribute financially through Spiritual Foundation! We must also question whether this money was Jilani Miyas personal wealth or was raised from Muslims for a charitable cause and misused in this way?

 

What we can conclude based on the information provided by FUREC is that when Jilani Miya wrote that he had not attended a single function or programme of FUREC, he had actually arranged two programmes and financially contributed to one other and paid for the translation and publication of the SSD and constitution of FUREC under the banner of his Spiritual Foundation!

 

Even more damaging for Jilani Miya is that he has lied to Sunni Muslims including Sunni Scholars who he sought edicts from, and foolishly published and printed this lie in huge numbers. Even an ardent supporter of Jilani Miya will have to accept that what Jilani Miya has written and printed is an abhorrent lie designed to mislead Sunni Muslims.

The behaviour of Jilani Miya is utterly despicable and wholly un-Islamic and is a result of having to lie to hide another lie and trying at all costs to find a way to save himself from the charge of infidelity on him. He then has the nerve to print a prayer of repentance (istigfar) only eight lines below his most outrageous and shameful lie!!!

 

Mufti Shamsuddoha and his sons despite having Jilani Miya's behaviour brought to their attention continue to support him. Obviously lying and deceiving Muslims is a characteristic that is shared between all of them. What is truly remarkable is that Mufti Shamsuddoha for the past twenty years has tried to portray himself as someone who was steadfast on the path of Sharia. No dobt he has learnt the art of deception through his association with Jilani Miya.

 

When Mufti Shamsuddoha was an Imam at the Raza Mosque on Balaclava Street, Blackburn he caused huge divisions in the Mosque when he refused to pray his salat or listen to the speeches of people who he stated had edicts against them for being grave sinners and therefore he had to adhere to the requirements of the Sharia. But when a charge of infidelity lands on the doorstep of his generous brother-in-law he is prepared to abandon all his principles and not care one iota what the requirements of Sharia are.

 

The Muslims of Blackburn and elsewhere are absolutely justified in questioning Mufti Shamsuddoha as to his behaviour. When a community was going to be divided as a result of his activities as an Imam, he did not care and shouted 'Sharia' in his typically angry voice yet when he had to leave his brother in law because of the ruling of Sharia, then he wasn't prepared to sacrifice family unity but was happy to abandon the Sharia.

 

Despite Jilani Miya's deception and fraudulent behaviour in trying to deceive the scholars in India, it was not long before questions containing all the infidelity containing clauses and contents contained in the SSD and the constitution of FUREC were put before the Scholars and Muftis of Islam which were then collated and compiled in a book which was published.

 

Kalimat ul Iman Fi Rad Wahdat ul Adyan in other words Ashraf ul Fatawa was published by Jamia Ashrafia Maariful Quran, Kichocha Sharif, India in November 2006. It contains the edicts of Muftis confirming Jilani Miya's infidelity and a lengthy and detailed preface outlining the background of Jilani Miya's involvement in FUREC written by Mowlana Qamar Ahmed Ashrafi.

 

The background to this book is that once Jilani Miya was accused of being an infidel as a result of his involvement in FUREC, he prepared and sent a fraudulent questionnaire to Muftis in India and Pakistan and deceived them by lying about his involvement in FUREC. He lied that the meaning of the words unity, acceptance and respect of religions had been clarified at the first meeting of FUREC to mean unity, respect and acceptance of the followers of religion and that this had also been incorporated in the constitution of FUREC by way of an amendment. Both these claims are blatant lies which have been dealt with by Gazi e Millat in his book The Light of Truth published by Muhaddis e Azam Mission, Birmingham.

 

Gazi e Millat has proved with documentary evidence that an amendment to FUREC's constitution in October 2005 was not made as claimed by Jilani Miya. Even if Jilani Miya's version of events was accepted the following questions relating to the SSD which Jilani Miya endorsed in October 2003 and the period between the launch of FUREC in June 2004 and the alleged amendment in October 2005 remained unresolved:

 

'Is he now prepared to repent in Sharia for the two years that he has 'endorsed infidelity' in the Surat Spiritual Declaration?

 

And is he prepared to repent for the fifteen-month period between June 2004 and October 2005 from the infidelity of FUREC?

 

The claim of amendment is being made in October 2005. What is the Sharia ruling for supporting infidelity prior to the amendment?' (The Light of Truth).

 

Jilani Miya used the answers Muftis gave him based on his fraudulent questions to declare his innocence in Sharia which he published in his book the Declaration of Truth and on his Spiritual Foundation website. It should be noted that Jilani Miya in hs questionnaire to the Muftis did not list or mention the objectionable clauses of the SSD or FUREC to ensure he received the answers he wanted to use to then clear his name.

 

The Declaration of Truth contains everything but the truth of which one lie has been highlighted above. What Jilani Miya did not have the courage to print along with the answers he received from the Muftis he had deceived with his fraudulent questionnaire was the answer he got to his own questions from the Chief Mufti at Jame Ashraf in Kichocha Sharif, Mufti Raza ul Haq Ashrafi.

 

As a result of the documents being available to Mufti Raza ul Haq Ashrafi as well as independent research he conducted, when Mufti Raza ul Haq Ashrafi answered Jilani Miyas questions he did so in light of the actual truth and did not fall prey to the deception which Jilani Miya carried out on the other Muftis by concealing the truth. And therefore when Mufti Raza ul Haq Ashrafi gave his answer he did so with all the relevant knowledge which obviously meant that he declared Jilani Miya an infidel.

Mufti Raza ul Haq Ashrafi in the commentary to his edict explains the reason he did not fall prey to Jilani Miya's deception. He states that at the time he was asked for an edict by Jilani Miya, he was aware of the actual truth and when a Mufti becomes aware of all the truthful facts and the actual circumstances it becomes obligatory (wajib) on the Mufti to provide an answer on what he is aware of; and not only on the question that has been asked especially when the question is trying to conceal the truth.  That is why the edict of Jame Ashraf is based on the actual truth and is absolutely in accordance with Sharia. Mufti Raza ul Haq Ashrafi writes in response to Jilani Miya's questions:

 

In Islamic Sharia accepting the sacred days of non Muslims as sacred and important, and from a practical viewpoint showing any reverence for these days is not permitted and FUREC's aims and objectives state the application and implementation of the Surat Spiritual Declaration.

 

The Surat Spiritual Declaration's project number 1 states:

 

'Every month in all parts of India there can be a multi-religious gathering to convey the core message attempted in the prayer of peace and about the basic truth's contained in various religions. Such a prayer should be preceded by prayers from all religions practised in that part of the country by respective religious and spiritual leaders in the presence of the people. Each month the day selected could be a holy day from one religion: Islam, Hindu, Christianity, Sikh, Parsi, Jain, Buddhist etc. Regular conduct of such meetings by all religious leaders and people from different religions respecting holy days of other religions will send a powerful message. If possible such gatherings can take place at the religious places where all persons from other religions also can gather on that day. People should also exchange pleasantries and sweets during these meetings, as is the practice in some parts of the country where unity of minds prevails.'

 

This project is also described in the Memorandum of Association at part (d) as:

 

'To organize multi religious functions to popularise joint celebration of religious festivals. Common community Kitchens and multi religious prayers.'

 

When Muslims participate with non Muslims in the celebration of their sacred festivals and days and pray together, popularise their religious message and celebrate their festivals in a joint and unified way, it is obvious that from a practical point of view they will be accepting of non Muslim festivals and sacred days in a respectful manner whereas the display of respect and acceptance of non Muslim religious days and festivals is from a Sharia viewpoint infidelity (kufr).

 

Meeting with non Muslims to celebrate their sacred days is proof of the belief that they are being regarded as good and stating or believing non Muslim sacred days to be good is from a Sharia viewpoint infidelity.

 

If for the protection of human rights, upholding peace and harmony for all, ending national and international terrorism and prevention of intoxicants and smuggling; all religions get together on one platform this is not infidelity, neither is it a sin But in this unity there is no scope or capacity for a Muslim to respect or accept any other religions belief.

 

But in the Surat Spiritual Declarations project number 2 it is stated:

 

'These efforts will elevate religions in the minds of the people and the nation will benefit.'

 

It can be concluded from this that your organisation aim is to strive to increase the respect and reverence of other religions in peoples hearts. From this it can be seen that respect of religions means reverence of religions and therefore unity of religions means exactly that and 'acceptance of religions' means recognition and acceptance.

Unity, respect and acceptance of religions are words which are clear and obvious and do not need the support of other words to elucidate their meanings. And to therefore conclude that unity of religion means unity of the followers of religion in common issues, acceptance of religion means the acceptance of the followers of religion to exist, respect of religions means the respect of the followers of religion is not allowed in Islamic Law because an explanation of obvious and plain words is not acceptable.

 

Also Unity of religions, unity of faith or unification/togetherness of religions from the viewpoint of Sharia and the subject of infidelity are words which are relevant and clear; therefore whenever they are spoken and used in relation to an un-Islamic view, then the pre-determined meaning will be used as the definition and giving these words any another meaning you approve of will not be correct.

 

For example, if a Muslim, Allah forbid states that I accept both infidelity and Islam, then under Sharia he will be declared an infidel and his explanation that by this what I mean is that 'I accept the right of existence of both Muslims and Non-Muslims' will not be accepted in Sharia, even if his explanation is that by infidelity I meant those who are infidels and by Islam I meant those who are Muslims such as Hadrat Muhaddis e Azam May Allah be pleased with him in his poetry said:

 

  Kufr se Kufre bagal geer nazar aata he

  We view infidels standing shoulder to shoulder with infidels

Unity of religions is a term of infidelity and therefore making this statement from the Sharia's viewpoint brings a charge of infidelity on you even if you state that your intention is the unity of followers of religion in shared or common issues of concern. Because uttering a plainly obvious word of infidelity will lead to one being declared an infidel  no change is allowed to the obvious meaning and neither will the belief in the heart will be taken into account.

 

Sharia deals with actions that are seen and observed.

 

For example, if a Muslim, Allah forbid prostrates before an idol, Sharia will look at his actions and declare him a polytheist and an infidel even if he were to state that he believes that worshipping an idol is polytheism and that he was not worshipping the idol but beyond the idol he was worshipping God. Sharia will not accept this explanation from him.

 

It is with huge regret that I am having to write that I have read with great care and attention the Memorandum of FUREC, the SSD and all the documents that you provided and I have tried very hard to find a Sharia angle where the Islamic verdict of infidelity does not fall upon you because it is very important for a Mufti that as far as possible he refrains from declaring an edict of infidelity on a Muslim and restrains himself to the end limit. However, it is with regret, a hundred times with regret that I have to say that I have found no way out in Sharia for you.

 

In fact in your organisation's aims and objectives I found the establishment of multi religious gatherings to celebrate festivals, multi religious prayers on various religious sacred days, creating multi-religious harmony, spreading universal spiritual values, using media and technology to publicise the unity of religions message, creating and sending educational material for the teaching and understanding of universal spiritual values to educational establishments, creating universal brotherhood among religions, jointly celebrating other religions festivals and sacred days and exchanging gifts and presents, accepting all religions as beautiful gardens, declaring all religions as places of harmony, calling religions flower gardens [flower beds], accepting the universal truth of all religions, striving to develop respect in people's hearts for all religions, sending and enrolling our children to other religions education centres for education and training in order to develop the thinking in their minds that every religion has equality, honesty and truth.

 

It is blatantly obvious that the above is not designed to deal with common concerns and issues of a nation but is linked only to religions and religious practice and values. Therefore your comment that by unity of religions you mean the unity of followers of religions in common concerns and issues of a nation, by respect of religions you mean having regard for the rights of followers of religions and by acceptance of religions you mean the right of other religions followers to exist is against the obvious meanings which cannot be accepted.

 

The conclusion therefore is; that stating the obvious and outright words of infidelity and endorsing the non Islamic values and actions means the charge of infidelity devolves upon you.

 

I am a humble servant of the family of the Prophet Muhammad May Allah bless him and grant him peace and an ordinary servant of the Prophets' religion. However, the relationship of faith supercedes all other relationships. The Prophet Muhammad's May Allah bless him and grant him peace call is 'ad-din un nasiha' Islam wholly wishes well.

 

Therefore my well wished advice to you is that as you are under a charge of infidelity in Sharia, you should repent and declare your renewal of faith and sacrifice all your worldly gains and possessions for the command of Mustafa's May Allah bless him and grant him peace Sharia and preciously save your faith. It is in this course of action that there is success in this world and in the hereafter.

 

It is obvious why Jilani Miya did not include this edict with all the other edicts he was been so eager to publish and distribute. Indeed Shaykh ul Islam in praise of Mufti Raza ul Haq Ashrafi's edict which he only learned about when Jilani Miya included it in the file of documents he sent with his letter dated 9 February 2006, writes that:


'with the exception of the Chief Mufti of Jame Ashraf all the other Muftis paid heed to the wishes of Jilani Myia and gave answers according to the questions put to them'¦but the Mufti of Jame Ashraf did not do this. Instead he conducted his own research and carried out enquiries into the constitution of FUREC and the Surat Spiritual Declaration. He fully understood the cleverness that had been displayed in the questionnaire and as a result he saw it as his responsibility in Sharia to leave the circumstances described in the questionnaire to one side and answer the question based on the actual circumstances and truth. And then displaying his knowledge, honesty and integrity and displaying his boldness in his faith he gave an edict of infidelity on Jilani Miya. After reading Jame Ashraf's edict Jilani Miya grew extremely restless and became engaged in writing nonsense and did not include this edict with the other self preferring edicts in his pamphlet which he published and named 'Declaration of Truth'.

The questionnaire that was sent to Jame Ashraf and its answer were both included in a file sent to me by Jilani Mia himself. It was at that time I became aware of the existence of this edict. The Mufti of Jame Ashraf has followed the actions of the most learned Scholars of Islam and it is for this reason that I congratulate from the depths of my heart the Chief Mufti of Jame Ashraf, its founder Hadrat Shaykh e Azam and its heart and soul Qaid e Millat [Hadrat Sayyad Mehmud Ashraf Ashrafi al Jilani]' (Page 102 Sahifa-e-Hidayah)

 

It is important to understand why Jilani Miya tried to hide this edict.  It is the only edict that he accidentally made available to Shaykh ul Islam that declares him an infidel in response to his own questionnaire and which actually deals with contents of the SSD and FUREC.

 

Jilani Miya did not have the courage to print this with the answers he received from elsewhere. Despite receiving this answer from Kichocha Sharif's prestigious university Jilani Miya did not act upon it or print it in the Declaration of Truth.

 

In any event, as a result of Jilani Miya's persistent fraudulent behaviour as well as his continuing lies and deception of his cronies, Mowlana Qamar Ahmed Ashrafi prepared two detailed questionnaires relating to the SSD and FUREC and sent them to Muftis including those who Jilani Miya had stated had cleared him of all charges of infidelity, in particular the following Muftis;

 

  • Hadrat Allama Mufti A'le Mustafa Misbahi, Chief Mufti of Darul Uloom Amjadiya, Ghosi
  • Hadrat Allama Mufti Faruq Ahmed Qadri Rizvi, Chief Mufti of Darul Uloom Manzare Islam, Bareilly Sharif
  • Hadrat Allama Mufti Muhammad Ayub Naeemi, Chief Mufti of Jamia Naeemia, Muradabad

 

The first questionnaire sent by Mowlana Qamar Ahmed included questions requesting Sharia's ruling on the Surat Spiritual Declaration. The second questionnaire requested Sharia's ruling on FUREC's aims and objectives and the deception carried out by Jilani Miya against Islamic Scholars and Muftis as well as Sunni Muslims. These two questions contained all the objectionable contents of the SSD and FUREC which were enclosed in ther entirerity in English.

 

The responses received from all the Muftis including those mentioned above confirmed that as a result of Jilani Miya's involvement and endorsement of the SSD and of FUREC's aims and objectives; and thereafter publishing both under the aegis of his Spiritual Foundation organisation, he was an infidel and had to repent in Sharia and thereafter to reaffirm his faith, re-marry and retake an oath of allegiance (ba'it).

 

Once all the edicts were received, a final letter was sent by Mowlana Qamar Ahmed Ashrafi to Jilani Miya informing him of the replies and asking him to repent in Sharia especially as those Muftis who he was stating had declared him innocent had after learning of the actual reality and the truth now proclaimed him to be an infidel. Jilani Miya did not reply to this letter and thereafter these edicts together with a detailed preface was published with the title Ashraf al Fatawa.

 

The conclusion of this book is that there is consensus among the Sunni Scholars of India regarding Jilani Miya's infidelity

In addition to the written edicts contained in this book, the verbal answers given by some very senior scholars and Muftis in India were also recorded and noted which are set out below.

 

'Behrul Uloom Mufti Abdul Mannan Sahib during the course of a conversation stated:

 

[FUREC's] rules contain infidelity.

 

He further added that Molvi Irshad (Sambhali) is my respected student. I told him to consider his life hereafter; wealth and income will always be obtained from one place or another.'

Muhaddis e Kabir Allama Zia ul Mustapha Qadri Sahib during conversation stated:

 

I have viewed and heard Jilani Miya's file. Even if his indecent explanation is accepted, he must repent at all costs. Even if a ruling of kufr kalami isn't given, how can he free himself from kufr fikahi.

Hadrat Mufti Nizamuddin Rizwi Sahib, Chief Mufti at Al Jamiatul Ashrafiya

 

(20 May 2006 at my residence and then in August 2006 after the urs of Muhaddis e Azam e Hind May Allah be pleased with at the Darul Ifta at Jamiatul Ashrafiya).

 

'Mowlana Irshad Sahib came to meet with me. I had as yet not seen anything from Hadrat Madani Miya. At that time based on Jilani Miya's file given to me, I informed Mowlana Irshad Sahib that it was essential for Jilani Miya to repent. He should as quickly as possible do what Hadrat Madani Miya is telling him to do and repent and free himself of the charges against him.

 

He further added:

 

'Because Jilani Miya wrote in his questionnaire seeking an edict that 'I have decided to seek an Islamic ruling' it became compulsory for me to inform him of Sharia's ruling. That is why by conversation on the telephone I informed him that based on the file you have provided it is essential for you to repent. You should repent as soon as possible and free yourself from all the charges against you.

 

During our conversation when I asked for an edict in writing he replied:

 

'As far as the ruling is concerned, then I have informed Jilani Miya of this on the telephone. If even after this he is not repenting then what will giving an edict in writing achieve?'

 

Qamar Ahmed Ashrafi, Mufti A'le Mustafa Misbahi, Mowlana Saif Khalid, Mowlana Mubarak Hussein Misbahi)

 

Hadrat Khwaja Muzaffar Sahib:

 

Infidelity is dripping from each and every hair of FUREC. I believe Jilani Miya to be severely misguided and someone who is misguiding others. On the basis of Kufr fikahi it is essential for him to repent and retract. But for kufr kalami it is necessary to research the circumstances and my health is not in the best condition. I am unwell and therefore I cannot conduct detailed and thorough evidence based research.

To try and discredit Ashraf al Fatawa, Jilani Miya tried to rely on a statement given by Hadrat Khwaja Muzaffar Hussain who is an elderly and ill scholar living in India. Khwaja Muzaffar gave a written statement to Jilani Miya's stooges on 20 November 2006 based on what he was told by these fraudsters. In it he wrote:

 

'Since ''FUREC'' organisation consists of several infidelities and unbelief, so the participation of any Muslim is absolutely not right rather it is prohibited and forbidden. But Zaid who is a member and is presenting his excuse with the clarification from the very first day of its launch. So, in such situation the charge of infidelity upon Zaid in not right unless it is proved with sharai (religious) reason and proof that he (Zaid) has held this organisation true from the very first day and when he felt under the scan of religious law then later he interpreted it with an ulterior motive. Since Zaid is a Muslim so his own clarification should be considered as true. So in this matter Zaid is defendant and the claimants are the levellers of charge. So, it is compulsory on the claimants to prove with religious argument and reason that this interpretation has been concocted by Zaid. If it is proved with religious reason and argument then the edict of infidelity is correct and right. (Allah is All knowing).

When some people discussed it over the phone we expressed the same opinion mentioned above. During the course of the discussion over the phone with the callers, we had first written it on the paper and then spoke while reading on paper. We also clarified it to the people that this is our opinion and not an edict.'

Khawaja Muzaffar Hussein

Jilani Miya fraudulently tried to rely on this statement to try and discredit Ashraf al Fatawa. What Jilani Miya did not mention was that once Khwaja Muzaffar became aware of Jilani Miya's activities in FUREC he corrected his position immediately and gave another statement on 5 December 2006 which he also published in the January 2007 edition of the Jame Noor magazine published from Delhi in which he endorsed the edicts contained in Ashraf al Fatawa.

 

In any event, let us examine what Khwaja Muzaffar has said and what Jilani Miya is relying on because even in this statement Jilani Miya does not escape the charge of infidelity.

 

Khwaja Muzaffar writes that FUREC consists of several infidelities and states that the participation of any Muslim in FUREC is not right; rather it is prohibited and forbidden. But the charge of infidelity on Zaid (Jilani Miya) is not right unless it is proved with religious reason and proof.

 

The reason Khwaja Muzaffar said that this charge was not right unless proven otherwise was because he was relying on Jilani Miya's false claim that the meaning of the infidelity containing words were explained and clarified at FUREC's very first meeting.

 

Khwaja Muzaffar was not aware at the time that no such clarification had been made at any meeting of FUREC. Jilani Miya prior to this statement had never mentioned any clarifications but had only talked of a fraudulent amendment which Gazi e Millat Sayyad Muhammad Hashmi Miya in his book The Light of Truth has comprehensively dealt with.

 

Even if what Jilani Miya and his stooges had told Khwaja Muzaffar was believed Jilani Miya still doesnt escape the charge of infidelity against him as a result of him signing and endorsing the Surat Spiritual Declaration in October 2003, nine months before FUREC came into existence whose clause's also contains numerous infidelities.

 

In addition Khwaja Muzaffar places a caveat when he mentions the infidelity of Zaid. He says that Zaid cannot be declared an infidel until proven with religious reasons and proof. By the grace of Allah Almighty this has been done and edicts giving reasons and proofs all appear in the book Ashraf al Fatawa. Even on the document Jilani Miya relies on he cannot escape the charge of infidelity.

 

What our readers should also remember is that Khwaja Muzaffar is not a Mufti and in his statement he clearly writes that what he has written is our opinion and not an edict.' We have to wonder why it is that Jilani Miya is giving so much weight to an opinion of a person who is not a Mufti and does not mention the numerous edicts of Muftis contained in Ashraf al Fatawa which declare him an infidel including those Mufti's whose praises he was singing until recently. Does he now think the Muftis from places such as Darul Uloom Amjadiya, Ghosi, Darul Uloom Manzare Islam, Bareilly Sharif, Jamia Naeemia, Muradabad and Jame Ashraf in Kichocha Sharif etc which he so vocally relied on a few months ago have all got their rulings wrong?

 

Why doesnt Jilani Miya mention the fact that he personally went to see the Chief Mufti at Al Jamiatul Ashrafiya, Mubarakpur, UP, India, Hadrat Mufti Nizamuddin Rizwi Sahib after his comments appeared in Ashraf al Fatawa stating that Jilani Miya had to repent? Jilani Miya tried desperately to try and persuade Mufti Nizamuddin to change his mind but left in despair and despondency as he was told that he was under a charge of infidelity and had no alternative except to repent?

 

Or mention that Muhaddis e Kabir Allama Zia ul Mustapha Qadri and Behrul Uloom Mufti Abdul Mannan Sahib are also quoted in Ashraf al Fatawa as stating that he has to repent for his involvement in FUREC?

 

Jilani Miya blatantly lies to try and save himself. He has done this since he was first charged with infidelity due to his involvement in FUREC and it appears that he will continue to do so in the hope that he can deceive Muslims all over the world. He doesn't seem to understand that he is deceiving no one but himself. His lackeys including Musanna Miya, Rashid Miya, Khalid Miya, Mufti Shamsuddoha, Molvi Abul Hasan, Zafar Iqbal Faruqi and other members of these families despite knowing of these lies and deceptions continue to support him - some in return for financial help and others in return for help with their continuing attempts to falsely claim they are sayyads. 

 

Now let us look at what Khwaja Muzaffar has said in Ashraf al Fatawa and in the written clarification he gave in the monthly magazine Jame Noor.

 

Khwaja Muzaffar states as written in Ashraf al Fatawa on page 132:

 

'Infidelity is dripping from each and every hair of FUREC. I believe Jilani Miya to be severely misguided and someone who is misguiding others. On the basis of Kufr fikahi it is essential for him to repent and retract. But for Kufr kalami it is necessary to research the circumstances and my health is not in the best condition. I am unwell and therefore I cannot conduct detailed and thorough evidence based research.

 

Khustar Noorani, Mufti A'le Mustapha Misbahi, Mowlana Saif Khalid are all witnesses to Khwaja Muzaffar's comments. Neither Jilani Miya nor Khwaja Muzaffar can deny that this statement was made as there are three scholars who are witnesses and our understanding is that there are more witnesses available to confirm these comments.

 

And on Page 53 in the January 2007 edition of Jame Noor under the heading 'Important Announcement' Khwaja Muzaffar writes:

 

'The writer has read and seen the Surat Spiritual Declaration and the constitution of FUREC and after reading them has reached the conclusion that the above mentioned Surat Spiritual Declaration and Constitution in numerous clauses is against Islam and is clear infidelity. After becoming aware of the infidelity containing clauses involvement in these organisations is not only becoming misguided but is infidelity.

 

The edict's that have been given by the scholar's of Islam against the clauses of FUREC are true and are correct. But as far as a person becoming an infidel based on his involvement in the above mentioned organisation is concerned then it is a separate issue. I am at present ill and bed ridden and due to my illness I am unable to express an opinion on a matter as delicate as infidelity and therefore I cannot express any ruling on this matter.

 

It is my desire to all parties concern that after this explanation, they do not take the trouble to contact me regarding this matter as this is my final written word on this issue.'

  

Readers will note that Khwaja Muzaffar accepts that FUREC and the SSD contain numerous infidelity containing clauses. He has accepted that the edicts given by Mufti's contained in Ashraf al Fatawa against FUREC are correct. He has in conversations with Islamic Scholars called Jilani Miya a person who is not only misguided but is misguiding others and in writing stated that due to his ill health he has been unable to deal with the issue of infidelity in an edict.

 

Now that we have shown our readers the reality of Khwaja Muzaffar's statements it will have become clear that Jilani Miya's attempts to use him to show that Ashraf al Fatawa is a fraud is in actual fact the real fraud and deception.

 

Jilani Miya foolishly thinks that by using the names of other scholars and continuing to try and make what is wholly a matter of Sharia into a personal matter, he will detract people from the charge of infidelity against him. He is as foolish in thinking this as he was in becoming a founder member of FUREC.

 

Jiani Miya's infidelity has been confirmed by all the main edict providing bodies in India and by most of the senior shaykhs and scholars yet Jilani Miya refuses to repent as required by Sharia. Despite all his abusive and insult laden behaviour as well as the deceptive and fraudulent activities Jilani Miya is powerless to remove the strangulation of the charge of infidelity from around his neck and anything he does except repenting as required in Sharia will be unable to save him
