Jilani Mia is a founder member of the Foundation for the Unity of Religions and Enlightened Citizenship (FUREC) organisation which was established under the guidance of the President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam and the Acharya Mahaprjna, the spiritual leader of the Swetambar Terapanth community. However, it must be made clear at the very outset that contrary to what we are led to believe by Jilani Mia, FUREC is a voluntary organisation. It has not been established by the Government of India and the aims and objectives of FUREC are not in any way legally binding on the inhabitants of India.
Many of the aims, objectives and projects of FUREC are un-Islamic and Shaykh al Islam has ruled that being a member of this organisation carries a charge of infidelity for any Muslim. Unfortunately Jilani Mia is a founder member of FUREC and instead of repenting and withdrawing from FUREC he continues to remain a supporting member.
It is a legitimate question to ask why Jilani Mia would get involved voluntarily in an organisation with so many aims and objectives which contain infidelity and which have been condemned by Sunni Scholars? This is for the reader to decide but no doubt the chance of rubbing shoulders with the President of India and the potential worldly benefits to flow from this may have proven too much of an incentive for Jilani Mia to stay away.
You will learn from reading all the documents that will be uploaded on this site the dishonesty of Jilani Mia throughout this dispute and how he has tried to manipulate and personalise an issue of Sharia and reached the extreme boundaries of abuse, deceit and dishonesty when communicating with respected Scholars of Islam.
Those who are sincere, objective and fair minded will see the exemplary way in which Hadrat Shaykh al Islam has dealt with this issue by being gentle, fair and firm with his nephew and giving him various opportunities to repent yet at the same time remaining absolutely steadfast on the path of Sharia in an attempt to save Jilani Mia from the apostasy of his involvement in FUREC.

As you will see, everything our Shaykhs have said is true and a slap in the face of those ignoramuses who doubted this even for one moment - that this organisation is absolutely and without doubt un-Islamic and a danger to Muslims and their faith.

FUREC APEX BODY CALLS ON THE PRESIDENT AT RASHTRAPATI BHAVAN

PRESS RELEASE
The members of the Apex Body of the Foundation for Unity of Religions and Enlightened Citizenship (FUREC) called on the President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
The Apex Body members briefed the President on the activities of FUREC over the past few months, such as spreading the message of unity of religions and enlightened citizenship in some schools in Delhi through workshops in schools, membership drive etc.
Dr. Kalam suggested to the members that FUREC other than its routine activities could also take care of people in need. This would make FUREC's name be known as removers of pain. The President also suggested that the organisation could concentrate on semi-urban and rural areas.
The famous singer, Ms. Usha Uthup presented a CD to the President of the theme song of FUREC, which she had composed and sung. The theme song is based on the President's Peace Prayer.
FUREC was established in 2003 in Surat by the Surat Spiritual Declaration. Its aims are promoting and implementing the Surat Spiritual Declaration by sustaining the human spirit on the basis of acceptance of, and respect for, all religions, spirituality, economic well being and the practice of Non-Violence.
Its objectives include: - working towards creating and developing a common code of conduct for religions from voluntary adoption, encourage the finding of solutions for some important problems of society through spiritual methods, providing for inter-faith dialogue and a common platform for multiple religions to work together towards religious harmony and socio-economic development, promoting universal values of all religions, encouraging and popularizing multi religious prayers and festivals and bringing about scientific temper and vision to combine with spirituality.
