~This studio is about real life and authenticity. Most of the videos are recordings of live classes that are raw, unedited and open a space of vulnerability. You will be invited to bring your own authenticity to the mat as Ahlara invites you to drop into your body to feel and witness "all that you are" through the practice. This is not about perfection, this is about healing and learning to meet your body in each pose, which opens space for acceptance, letting go and connection.~

Meet your Teacher
Ahlara Kent is a certified Yoga teacher and owner at The Light of Truth Online Yoga Studio. She completed her 200 hour certification at The Yoga School of Therapeutics in 2012 and her 220 hour certification in Kundlini Yoga through the 3HO foundation in 2013. Ahlara is a gentle Yoga teacher and guides her students with compassion as they begin to meet their bodies in a new way.
She focuses on Therapeutic, Restorative and Yin styles of Yoga that teach body awareness and embodiment. She also works with visualization, meditation, breathing practices and Yoga Nidra to enhance healing and relaxation.
Currently, Ahlara is enrolled at Avila University and is completing the counseling psychology program to becoming a licensed professional counselor. It is her intention to combine the healing modalities of psychology, Yoga and energy medicine to help people feel safe, happy and joyful in their bodies.
Ahlara lives with her son outside the Kansas City area. When she is not teaching, she likes to spend time with her friends and family, connect with her Spirit, read, write, create and dance.

Thursday is my favorite day of the week because it becomes my Yoga Thursday with Ahlara. The one day I give myself by attending Yoga. The restorative Yoga class helps me focus, de-stress, be in the present moment, feel physically and mentally rejuvenated.
The Yoga by Ahlara is very relaxing to me. It is not intense. She gives us stretches and meditations. She tells us where we should feel each stretch and the benefit of it. I really enjoy the class.
